These Nuno Scarf Kits offer you a pre-hemmed silk scarf base and a small quantity of superfine, space-dyed merino in a coordinating colorway, along with comprehensive instructions for nuno felted scarves.
The iridescent silk chiffon offers a wonderful sheen, and soft drape. The hemmed edges are a huge time-saver. You can go from kit to finished scarf in less than an hour!!
You may wish to incorporate additional fiber from your stash... (we all know you have one) ... to bring in extra color and design. but the wool included will spark your creativity, and is enough for a simple design on one side of the silk.
IMPORTANT: These scarf blanks will bleed during felting, but will run clear by the time the scarf is fulled and finished. If you plan to use light colors of wool for your design, it would be wise to rinse/wash the silk well with warm water before felting.
