Nuance uniquely colored, machine crafted

A uniquely colored, machine crafted range of wool tops that reflect the subtle shadings found in nature.  Only the softest superfine (18.5 micron) merino wool top is chosen for dying with this distinct process.  Special care has also been taken to reduce any excessive processing of the wool to insure a superb handle.

We have especially created three palettes within the range. There are neutrals/pastels, earth tones and brights.  Of course the subsets can be inter mixed, but each colour within a palette has been thoughtfully chosen to harmonize.  Nuance is custom designed with the needs of the creative feltmaker and textile artist in mind.   When felting with the Nuance you will achieve a subtle "suede-like" effect.  Some colors will have a greater nuanced effect than others, a wonderful change from the uniformity of standard commercially dyed wool tops!  

Felters will find Nuance perfect for using with the silk laps and for clothing.  Superfine merino never becomes too firm and will therefore allowing silk to drape beautifully.  If you have never used superfine wools before, it will take some subtle adjustment to your felting techniques.  Please take the time to experiment.
